University Cafeteria and University ShopCampus introduction
The university cafeteria was built as a welfare facility for students and university employees. The cafeteria becomes a very busy place during lunchtime. It can accommodate 320 people, about one-third of the university's student population. The cafeteria is open from 11 a.m. to 15 p.m. Meals are reasonably priced from 280 to 480 yen. The daily menu includes Okinawa soba, tacorice (taco filling rice bowl), daily lunch specials, all types of packed lunch (bento) and so on. Other than a place for meals, the cafeteria also serves as a place for students to simply spend time talking with their friends during breaks between classes.
An ATM (Bank of The Ryukyus) is located at the left of the entrance to the student cafeteria and is available for use from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The university shop serves as an important student welfare facility on campus alongside the cafeteria, and is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The shop sells books, magazines, writing materials, daily groceries, cup noodles, snacks and so on. Textbooks required for lectures are also sold here.
