Key Points of the Program

 

We pursue the scientific study of sports and health through a bold and innovative methodology, spanning various academic fields, to produce health support specialists with a broad range of skills.

1. Training professionals who can support health and sports activities
 

We educate talented individuals who can support the improvement and maintenance of life-long health by providing technical skill and knowledge relating to sports and health.

2. Supplemental practica
 

A handicapped care practicum and clinical nursing practicum for obtaining a license for teaching the handicapped;a practicum for obtaining a health-maintenance physical education license; a practicum at a health improvement facility for obtaining a qualification as a health activity facilitator;internships, etc. at corporations, social welfare facilities, regional community organizations, and other outdoor educational facilities.

3. Specialized practical skill courses
 

We offer every type of practical skills course, such as practical skills in marine sports which make good use of the advantages Okinawa provides (windsurfing, scuba-diving, etc.); traditions characteristic of Okinawa (karate, classical martial arts, classical Ryukyu dance, etc.); winter sports pursued outside the prefecture (skiing, snow-boarding); additional practical skills involving our training room and indoor heated swimming pool.
